WORKSHOPS

Creating Space for Our Stories

BBT delivers arts-rich, resilience-building theatre workshops across a wide range of NSW communities. We have run these workshops in the Eurobodalla, Bega Valley, Ryde, Hunters Hill and Kuringai LGAs.

Participants in BBT Workshops are supported by a team of skilled facilitators to learn skills in storytelling, improvisation, character building, writing, vocal technique and movement. These newly developed skills are then used to create a performance based on participants’ experiences as young people living in their local community.

At the end of the week, the performance is brought to life using professional theatre equipment, including lighting, AV and multimedia. Members of the wider local community are invited to attend the performance.

BBT has also delivered theatre education initiatives for community building in Hunters Hill Council LGA and Blayney Shire LGA, including ActBack and Resurgence. These workshops are have been designed using cutting-edge research that draws on the power of the arts to transform young people’s education, health and wellbeing.
